“Comedy of Errors” Takes the Stage at Mount Union November 17-20

November 10, 2016

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union’s Department of Theatre will perform William Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors” Thursday November 17 – Sunday, November 20 in the Gallaher Black Box Theatre on Mount Union’s campus.

The play will be performed “in-the-round,” creating an intimate setting where the walls between the actor and audience disappear completely.

Performances on November 17, 18 and 19 take place at 7:30 p.m. and the November 20 performance is scheduled for 2 p.m.

“Comedy of Errors,” one of Shakespeare’s earlier works, is based on “The Menaechmi” written by ancient Roman comic playwright, Plautus. It follows two sets of identical twins whose mistaken identity throws and entire city into turmoil. The play, which is staged in one act and runs 60 minutes, is perfect for the entire family.
