2003 Homecoming Week Events Scheduled For Mount Union College Students

Mount Union College students are getting excited for the events planned leading up to the 2003 homecoming football game on October 4 against Otterbein College.
Throughout the week students will be able to vote for homecoming queen and king during lunch and dinner in the hallway of the Hoover-Price Campus Center. The winners will be announced during halftime of the football game on Saturday.
On Monday September 29, Alexandra McHale, a comedienne sponsored by SAC, will be performing at 9 p.m. in the Campus Grounds. McHale has appeared on such television shows as "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and "The Late, Late Show" with Craig Kilborn. In addition, for the past two years McHale has been voted "Female Entertainer of the Year" by college students across the county in "Campus Activities Today" Magazine.
On Tuesday September 30, Blue Key will host the Gong Show at 9 p.m. in the Campus Grounds. Students will have the opportunity to show off their talents and the top three acts will be awarded cash prizes.
On Wednesday October 1, Recycled Percussion, a "Stomp" inspired performing group, will give their rendition of "everything but the kitchen sink" at 9 p.m. in the Mount Union Theatre, sponsored by SAC.
On Thursday October 2, the Mr. MUC Beauty Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. in the Mount Union Theatre. Male contestants from student organizations across campus will compete in different categories. Admission is $1 or two canned goods and sponsored by SAC and Student Senate. The cans will be donated to a local charity.
On Friday October 3, SAC and After Hours will host a "Casino Night" from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Campus Grounds. Students will be able to gamble at blackjack tables, poker tables, and slot machines for raffle tickets. The winners will be eligible for different raffles with an assortment of prizes, drawn at the end of the night.
On Saturday October 4, the homecoming parade will step-off in the Hoover-Price Campus Center parking lot at 11 a.m. It will feature floats created by student organizations and the Greek community.
