2011 Student Employee of the Year Nominees
Joey Forchione “I wish that I could clone Joey. As a new person to the call center last year, he was immediately identified as being wise and professional beyond his freshman status.” |
Abigail Honaker “When events needed to be reported on, photographs needed to be taken and students needed to be interviewed, Abby just dove in head first. She required little supervision because her work was always superb.” |
Jacie Iden “Jacie goes above and beyond in her position, working with her peers and the professional staff. Whether she is dealing with a complicated situation between residents or is completing duty rounds, Jacie responds to the issues presented with timeliness and professionalism.” |
Tom McKenzie “He has a very outgoing personality and will make connections with students to make them feel right at home when they visit the campus. This is very important because it shows the visiting student the ‘family connection’ we have on this campus.” |
Jackie Mills “She takes her job seriously and demonstrates a level of professionalism that one would expect to see in someone working in the department as a full-time employee. She is exceptionally reliable and has rarely missed work during her tenure.” |
Annie Patton “Annie’s uniqueness of contribution would be her desire to go above and beyond. She tackles every task as the most important, even if it is not the most desirable. She has an upbeat attitude, which is contagious throughout the office, right to the students who walk in for assistance." |

Katie Petrilli “This year when Mr. French wanted to hire a student to coordinate volunteers for the Early Learning School SPARK program, Katie was a perfect fit. She is a leader among her peers and has done a great job in recruiting volunteers needed for SPARK.” |
Brooke Thomas “Brooke, the vet of our office, provided the stability to help us continue with our normal everyday tasks. From assisting in writing press releases, taking photographs of events on campus to becoming the PSA voice of the office, her daily contributions were truly endless.” |
Patricia Topper “Over the summer, Patricia adopted the name ‘Skills.’ This nickname came about because she provided our office with great assistance, and her talents went far beyond both graphic and web processing.” |
Megan Young “I hired Megan three years ago on a gut feeling that she was going to be a great fit. And, in that time, she has become an invaluable member of our team, making her graduation very bittersweet this year.” |

Erich Zollinger “He shows initiative by requesting additional responsibilities and making sure he was doing things the way we wanted them. He attended weekly staff meetings and video sessions, which were not required, and took notes each time so that he could learn and better himself as a coach.” |
