When I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. I was interested in becoming a medical technologist, and heard that Mount Union had an outstanding medical technology program.
Gifts from the Hand and Heart
Barbara Lyons led a soap making workshop to help participants learn how to make simple, hand-crafted gifts. Participants were given simple directions for making melt and pour glycerin soap, lip balm, and solid perfume. Participants then created their own products, choosing from a variety of soap bases, colorings, scents, and additives to make personalized gifts. A demonstration on making lye soap using the cold process was also presented.
