ABC's "The Bachelorette" Features Mount Union College Graduate

April 01, 2010

Michael Foster, a 1997 graduate of Mount Union College, is one of 25 'bachelors' vying for a chance to be selected as a possible future husband of 'The Bachelorette' on ABC's reality show, which begins a new season on Monday, January 10 at 9 p.m. (eastern time) with a two-hour season premiere.

Reality television star Jennifer Schefft is the 'bachelorette.' She and Foster share a Mount Union connection. Her father, Dave Schefft, is a 1967 graduate of the College.

Schefft accepted a proposal by Andrew Firestone in the third installment of ABC's 'The Bachelor.' After the couple cancelled their engagement, Schefft was selected to star in ABC's show, 'The Bachelorette.' The popular reality show follows the 'bachelorette' as she meets and dates a group of eligible bachelors. At the end of each episode, she will select which of the male participants will move on to the next round.

Foster is a high school English teacher and spokesperson for Instone Nutrition and Ergopharm Products and Supplements, a line of nutritional supplements designed by actor Sylvester Stallone.
