Accelerated BSN Admission Requirements

Students need to meet the following requirements to be considered for admission:

  1. Hold a Baccalaureate degree in a discipline other than nursing from an accredited higher education institution, and
  2. Preference will be for students with an overall average GPA of 3.0 or greater in their earned bachelor’s degree, and
  3. Complete or have completed the following courses or equivalent courses with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better*:
BIO 210 Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab
BIO 211 Anatomy & Physiology II with Lab
BIO 200 Microbiology with Lab
BIO 290** Pathophysiology**
CHE 110 & 115 General Organic and Biochemistry with Lab
PSY225** Lifespan/Human Growth and Development**
MTH 200 Basic/elementary/general Statistics                 

*Completion of the prerequisite courses within the last five years. The nursing faculty will discuss a prerequisite completion timeframe of longer than five years on a case-by-case basis.


**This course could potentially be competed while matriculated in the program at Mount Union depending on the start day of the program. Check with program director.
