Adult Studies Graduates Celebrate with Reception

The Mount Union College adult studies program students have put much hard work and dedication toward their studies and were honored for their accomplishments at a reception on Monday, April 17.

These students will be participating in Commencement on Sunday, May 6.

Sara Crawford of Beloit, a psychology major and sociology minor, started at Mount Union College in 1956 and came back in 2002 to complete her degree. She is a township trustee and has worked 30 years at Alliance Machine.

LuAn Gallegly of Hartville, an exercise science major and health minor, came to Mount Union in 2001. She is a December 2006 magna cum laude graduate and wants to work in physical therapy.

Doug Hastings, a business administration major with a management concentration and international studies minor, works for the City of Alliance. He started at Mount Union in 2002 and averaged about three classes a semester.

Lisa Johnson of Alliance, a business administration major with a concentration in health and sociology minor from Alliance, came to Mount Union in 1998. Johnson has worked for Ameritech/AT&T for almost 30 years.

Nancy Kasparek of Alliance, a psychology major and sociology minor, started taking classes at Mount Union in 1998. She works in the Mount Union Office of Registration.

Jo VanFossen of Alliance, a psychology major and sociology minor, started in 1993 and took about one class every semester and most summers. She works in the Mount Union Office of Business Affairs.
