Alicia Switzer Receives The Good Citizenship Prize

ALLIANCE, Ohio – University of Mount Union graduate Alicia Switzer of Strongsville, OH was presented with The Good Citizenship Prize at the University’s 167th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

This prize is presented to a graduating senior for overall excellence in qualities of personality, leadership and citizenship.

Alicia majored in psychology and communication and minored in Spanish. She served as a Regula Scholar and was a member of numerous campus organizations including Lambda Pi Eta, the Public Relations Student Society of America, Raider Relief, the Student Alumni Association, Student Senate, Pre-Health Professions Club, Alpha Mu Gamma, Pre-Law Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, Campus Crusade for Christ, Sophomore Service, the women’s soccer team and the Dance Team.  She also participated in study abroad, was named to the Dean’s List and graduated summa cum laude. She was also a semifinalist for this year’s Outstanding Senior Woman award.

After completing a summer internship at Lakeside Chautauqua, Alicia plans to enter the master’s program in leadership in higher education at Baldwin Wallace University and will serve as a graduate assistant in the institution’s Office of Alumni and Advancement.
