Alliance Symphony Big Band to Perform December 10

The sounds of the Big Band Era will fill the Mount Union Theatre on Saturday, December 10 at 7 p.m.
The 17-member Alliance Symphony Big Band will perform standards from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s and beyond.  In addition to many popular standards made famous by Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Ellington, the group also will perform contemporary and classic holiday favorites. Vocalist Tom Falen will sing hits made popular by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Bobby Darin.

Under the direction of Bryan T. Stehura, the group is comprised of professional and community musicians.

Tickets are $8 for seniors, $10 for adults and free for children and students. Arts in Stark and Alliance Concert Association cardholders receive two for one ticket price. All tickets can be purchased at the door. The concert season is sponsored by the Goris-Meadows Insurance Agency.
