Alliance Symphony Orchestra Partners with the Mount Union Alliance Chorale for Spring Concert

ALLIANCE - The Alliance Symphony Orchestra and the Mount Union Alliance Chorale will present a concert of French music entitled "Impressions: Dreams and Memories" on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3 p.m. in Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for Performing Arts on the campus of the University of Mount Union.   

The Alliance Symphony Orchestra will perform under the direction of Eric Benjamin and the Mount Union Alliance Chorale is conducted by Jane Page. 

Works on the program include: Dukas Fanfare from La PeriRavel’s Mother Goose Suite, Pierne’s Canzonetta featuring UMU senior clarinet performance major Christopher Jones, and Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. The Mount Union Alliance Chorale will join the ASO on the second half of the program to perform Faure’s Requiem with vocal soloists Dr. Robert Ekey and Amanda-Joyce Abbott.   

General admission tickets are $10, seniors 65 and older are $8, and students tickets are free with I.D. and are available at the Giese Center for Performing Arts Box Office. The Box Office phone number is (330) 821-2565 and is open weekdays 1 -5 p.m. or before the concert.
