Alliance Symphony Orchestra to Present Spring 2006 Classical Program

The Alliance Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Elaine Anderson, associate professor of music at Mount Union College, will present its Spring 2006 Classical Program on Saturday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at Alliance High School.

 

Since its founding in 1989, the Alliance Symphony Orchestra has provided orchestral music of many styles for the enjoyment and enrichment of the people of the Alliance area. The members of the symphony include adult as well as college and high school volunteers.

The Spring 2006 Classical Program includes: "Water Music Suite" by George Frideric Handel; "Finlandia" by Jean Sibelius; "Carmen Suite One" by George Bizet; 'Summon the Heroes' by John Williams; 'Somewhere in Time' by John Barry; "Variations on a Shaker Melody" by Aaron Copland and 'Star Spangled Spectacular' by George M. Cohan.
