Allyson Oyster of Alliance to Perform Piano Recital April 20

Allyson M. Oyster, a junior music performance major of Alliance with a concentration in collaborative piano, will perform a piano recital on Monday, April 20 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College.
A native of Alliance, Oyster is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville. After graduation, she hopes to pursue graduate studies in collaborative piano. She participates in the Mount Union Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, “Fire Engine” Choir and Alliance Chorale, as well as the St. Joseph’s Church Choir. She is also an active member of Mu Phi Epsilon and OCMEA.
The recital will include Prelude and Fugue No. 3 in G Major by Dmitri Shostakovich, Sonata Op. 10, No. 2 by Ludwig van Beethoven, Rondo Capriccioso, Op. 14 by Felix Mendelssohn, I’ll Sail Upon the Dog Star from The Three Dukes of Dunstable by Henry Purcell, Amarilli, mia bella by Giulio Caccini, He Was Despised from Messiah by George Frideric Handel, Widmung, Op. 25 by Robert Schumann with Alicia Bousner, mezzo-soprano, Don Juan Overture for Two Pianos, Eight Hands by W. A. Mozart with Laura Jurasko, Andrew Potts and Abigail Sevcik.
