December 27, 2004

The Raiders are competing in the Cactus Jam Holiday Tournament hosted by Phoenix College.' The tournament begins with a first-round match-up against nationally ranked Albion on Monday at noon.

To help kick off the tournament the Office of Alumni Activities held a team dinner for players, families, alumni and friends to show their Raider support.' The dinner was graciously paid for by an anonymous donor.

More than 60 people arrived and took part in the dinner party for the team.

'I was absolutely thrilled with tonight's turnout,' said Anne Graffice, director of alumni activities.' 'We have such wonderful alumni and friends that have been supportive of everything the College has done and to see so many this far from home was overwhelming.'

With a new year closing in, the Office of Alumni Activities has already made more plans to reunite more alumni and friends.'

'We're really excited about the new year because we have focused on some new projects and enhancing many of our traditional activities,' noted Graffice.

The office has already scheduled a ski trip to Peek 'n Peak in New York in January and luncheons in Sarasota and Naples, Florida in February.
