Alumni Recital at Mount Union College to Feature Rebecca Purdum

An alumni recital will be presented by soprano Rebecca Purdum '03 in the Presser Recital Hall of Mount Union College on Sunday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m.


Other performers for the recital include soprano Amanda-Joyce Abbott, lecturer of music; Dr. Elaine M. Anderson, associate professor of music, on cello; pianist Aaron Butler, who is currently studying piano with Lois Shapiro on harpsichord, organ and piano; and the Rosewood Consort.

The recital will include works by Hildegard Von Bingen, Antonia Bembo, Lucretia Vizzana, Rosa Giacinta, Badalla Chiara, Maria Cozzolani, Dominick Argento, Guillaume Dufay, Gaspar Fernandes, Juan P'rez Bocanegra and George Frederick Handel.

Purdum, an active soloist and chamber music collaborator in the Boston area, will graduate this spring with her master of music degree in early music vocal performance from Longy School of Music.
