Alumni Weekend and Homecoming 2010: October 22-24

University of Mount Union’s Alumni Weekend and Homecoming 2010, “All Roads Lead Home,” will be held on Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 24.
The fun-filled and highly-anticipated weekend will include a variety of diverse activities full of opportunities to reconnect with friends, classmates and University faculty and staff.
Popular events this year include the annual Run-A-MUC and Kid’s Race, vow renewal ceremony, reunion gatherings, street fair, football game and Alumni Luncheon. During the luncheon, the Dodie Davis Service Award will be presented to Joel ‘78 and Kathleen (Johnson ‘79) Sassa. The McKinley Service Award will be awarded to Dr. Len Epp, professor of biology at Mount Union, and Gretchen Schuler ’96 will receive the Young Alumni Award.

27th Annual Run-A-MUC 5K Race and 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk | 9 a.m.
Alumni may register through Purple Raiders Central at alumni.mountunion.edu. Registration information may also be obtained by calling (330) 823-2030. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Kid’s Race | Immediately following Run-A-MUC | Mount Union Stadium
This race is for children seven years and under. The race consists of one lap around the Mount Union track and each child will receive a prize. Pre-registration is required to ensure everyone receives a prize. Please note that the Kid’s Race does not begin until all Run-A-MUC participants have finished the race.

A special renewal of vows ceremony will be held for couples who are both Mount Union graduates. All are welcome.
“Little Flock” Organization Reunion | 10:30 a.m. | West Room, Hoover-Price Campus Center
Homecoming Parade | 10:45 a.m.
The homecoming parade will step off from the Hoover-Price Campus Center parking lot, pass the Alumni Luncheon tent in King Hall’s parking lot and travel south past the Mount Union Stadium.
Alumni Wrestling Gathering | 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Gulling Parking Lot

Camp MUcaw | 11 a.m – 3 p.m. | McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex (The MAAC)
The camp is for children of alumni ages three through 10, free of charge. Children of alumni are required to attend camp the entire time for security reasons and need to be picked up between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Pre-registration and guardian release forms are required. Alumni Luncheon | 11:30 a.m. | Tent in King Hall Parking Lot
All alumni and guests are invited to this event honoring the recipients of the Dodie Davis Alumni Service Award, McKinley Service Award and Young Alumni Award. The luncheon will also feature former Dynamo columnist Andrew Mudd ’85 who will share memories of his writing entitled “The Joys of Time Travel.” Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and younger (children are encouraged to attend Camp MUCaw). This invitation-only event begins at kick off and will continue through the third quarter of the football game. This event is being held to thank generous supporters of The Mount Union Fund.
Alumni Cheerleaders/MUcaw Time to Cheer | 1:30 p.m. | Mount Union Stadium
Former cheerleaders and mascots may join the current cheerleading squad during the second quarter in cheering the Raiders on to victory. A group photo will be taken at halftime. Contact Stephanie Unckrich at email@example.com for more information.
Alumni Tours of Campus | 1:30 – 3 p.m.
Tours, led by Mount Union admission tour guides, depart from the Information Desk in the Hoover-Price Campus Center.
Reunion Gatherings | 3 – 6 p.m. | Tent in King Hall Parking Lot
Reunions will be held for all graduation years, and especially those ending in Os and 5s. Reunions will also be held for the band, cheerleaders, Black Student Union, Dynamo and WRMU. The event will include specific tables for graduation years celebrating a milestone reunion, music, appetizers and more. All graduation years are welcome to attend. Classes are also hosting off-site reunions. Check the reunion tent for details.
