Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Events Planned

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Numerous events are planned for the University of Mount Union’s 2013 Alumni Weekend and Homecoming on Saturday, October 26.
At 11 a.m., the community has a chance to see the Faculty Art Exhibit and reception in Beeghly Hall lobby. At the same time, there will be an informational Admissions "Slam" session in EBB (formerly Wilson Hall). These "slam" sessions are geared toward Mount Union alumni and teenage legacies. They will give a glimpse of admission/program information for graduate and undergraduate enrollment. All are welcome to attend.
At 12:15 p.m. there will be a parade through campus startingat the Hoover-Price Campus Center (HPCC) parking lot. The parade will then head east on Simpson, turn at the campus lakes and head back through campus to end at the stadium. This year, children of alumni will have the opportunity to join the parade. Free T-shirts will be available for children under 12 (quantity limited so register early) or wear Raider gear to be part of this Mount Union tradition.
The Mount Union vs. Otterbein football game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. in Mount Union Stadium. To purchase game tickets, contact the Office of Athletics at (330) 829-4100. Tickets are $9 and all seats are reserved.
Tours around campus to find MUcaw will begin at 1:30 p.m. Stop by the Alumni Welcome table in HPCC for detailed campus information to assist you on a tour.
In addition, a Nature Walk at the Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center will begin at 2 p.m. The Nature Center is located six miles south of Mount Union on Daniel Street, just off of Route 183 (Union Avenue). Families and alumni can go on a guided tour of the fall foliage on site with the Center staff or explore the grounds on their own. The Visitor Center is open from 1 to 5 p.m.
A Family Fun – Street Fair will begin in King Hall parking lot at 2:30 p.m. Kids can enjoy a bounce house, football toss, activities and music. Student groups will have activities inside the tent for children of all ages.
Eric Dittelman, a mind reader, will perform at 7 p.m. in Campus Grounds. This event is suitable for the whole family. Tickets may be reserved by contacting Lindsey Laret at (330) 829-2764 or email@example.com.
Trick-or-Treat with the Raiders will held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 in the Peterson Fieldhouse.Bringkidsin costumes to the Field House for fun with members of current athletic programs.
