My ultimate career goal is to become a mentor, facilitator, organizer, planner, role model and coach. I think what I’m trying to say is that I want to become a teacher who has an impact on students’ lives.

MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY
Passion for education
I chose to major in early childhood education because I love working with children and creating a fun learning environment.
In the classroom
My favorite hands-on experience thus far in my major has been my in-class field experience. I’ve been able to sit in on a fifth grade special education class, a kindergarten class and a sixth grade class, and I’m only a junior! I fell in love with the students. Mount Union has helped me realize that teaching is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Personal and positive atmosphere
I love the overall positive and personal atmosphere at Mount Union. While walking to class it’s perfectly normal to say “hello” or “good morning” to every student and professor you see.
Creative class
My favorite class is Children's Literature because it pushed me to become a better writer and find my creative side.
Favorite place
My favorite place on campus is the Mount Union Stadium on game day. I love cheering on my Purple Raiders!
Ultimate career goal
My ultimate career goal is to become a mentor, facilitator, organizer, planner, role model and coach. I think what I’m trying to say is that I want to become a teacher who has an impact on students’ lives.
