Andria Lyons Wins Scholarship at AMA Conference

ALLIANCE, Ohio — University of Mount Union junior marketing major Andria Lyons of New Middletown, OH received a top scholarship at the American Marketing Association’s 35th annual International Collegiate Conference.
Lyons received the $5,000 AMA-EBSCO Marketing Scholar Award at the conference, held in New Orleans, La. in March.
Three scholarships were given in the amounts of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000. Attendees from Mount Union included Lyons, Mount Union assistant professor of economics, accounting and business administration Mark McConnell and five other officers of Mount Union’s AMA chapter.
According to the AMA, recipients of this prestigious award must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above, must be a marketing major, must demonstrate leadership with a role within the AMA Collegiate Chapter and must utilize their marketing skills both on and off campus.
Lyons serves as vice president of the University of Mount Union’s AMA campus chapter.
