Annual Special Gift Clubs Reception Held at Mount Union College
April 01, 2010
The annual Special Gift Clubs Reception was held at Mount Union College on Saturday, October 13.
This reception honors Mount Union alumni and friends that are members of the College's seven giving societies.
Kimberly (Terrill '99) Rodstrom, director of annual giving programs, took the opportunity to thank those who helped to make the 2006-2007 Annual Fund a success.
Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of the College challenged those present to 'win the conference' in annual giving. He congratulated all on the success of this year's campaign.
'We did not build these programs by matching what we have done in years past,' said Giese, 'but by stretching our goals and recruiting the resources necessary to carry them out.
Kristin Bowling '10, a media studies major from Homerville, reflected on why she decided to come to Mount Union College and her experiences here on campus.
'Coming from a very small high school in the country, I could only dream about the opportunities I have been given at Mount Union,' said Bowling. 'I am able to enjoy all that is offered here because of the involvement of all of you. Each gift, no matter the value, has an impact on the students. Doesn't it feel good knowing that you have touched even one student through your gifts?'
