Annual Sports Sales Workshop to be Held February 26 in Cleveland

The Annual Sport Sales Workshop and Job Fair, presented by Mount Union College, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Indians, will be held Friday, February 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH.
Recent graduates, soon-to-be graduates and current college students interested in learning more about careers in sports will be attending the Sport Sales Workshop and Job Fair.
The event provides participants with successful sales techniques and valuable insights from some of the most successful professionals in the industry. Following an opening session that gives an overview of ticket sales and the variety of ticket inventory sold in sports, participants will receive nearly four hours of personalized sport sales training, as well as networking opportunities with sport industry executives during lunch. Some of the sales executives that will be serving as trainers at the Sport Sales Workshop include Charlie Chislaghi, president of Sports Sales Consulting, Michael Behan, director of business development for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Renee Boerner, manager of group sales of the Cleveland Indians, Adam Campbell, director of inside sales of the New York Knicks and Katie Stocz, ticket sales manager for Orlando Magic, among others.
Along with training sessions, individuals will have the opportunity to interview with a variety of companies. With ticket sales being the best opportunity to find employment in the sport industry, the experience gained at the Sport Sales Workshop and Job Fair gives participants a head start for a promising career. The training sessions provides a unique opportunity to “audition” for entry-level sales positions.
