ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union College's Horn Quartet will be joined by area school musicians in a performance Monday, April 9 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall, in addition to two student recitals, which will also be featured next week.

The quartet, which includes freshman Juli Alden of Warren; senior Ryan Bell of Minerva; freshman Judy Weaver of Alliance; and Lori Burse, band director at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, will be performing "Dancers" from Tcherepnine's Six Pieces.

Also featured will be a horn trio, consisting of Brenton Beck, Lauren Lotze and Patrick Majernik, students from South Range Local Schools. They will be performing Handel's Hail the Conquering Hero.

Other area school musicians include Alex Barnett, Emily Bennett, Bethany Billham, Jessica Potesta and Adam Zagotti of Salem City Schools; Micah Johnson of West Branch Local Schools; Christian Naylor and Devin Pohly of Lake Local Schools; and Josh Van Sickle of Barberton City Schools. Also, Jim Unferdorfer will be representing Pellegrino Music School.

In addition, on Sunday, April 8 at 3 p.m., junior Sayuri Saito will be performing a solo recital and on Tuesday, April 10 at 10:35 a.m., there will be a student recital featuring freshman Andrea Brownlee of Glen Dale, WV; freshman Natalie Green of Alliance; freshman Katharine Kahl of Burghill; junior Paul Krajnak of Pittsburgh, PA; freshman Joshua Learn of Greensburg, PA; sophomore Melissa McCown of Parkersburg, WV; freshman Michelle Murray of Dover; sophomore Rebecca Purdum of North Canton; freshman Aaron Remely of Thompson; and sophomore David Torch of Dennison. Both performances will be given in Presser Recital Hall.
All performances are free and open to the public. Presser Recital Hall is located in the Cope Music building on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street.
