While taking Elementary Chinese, I had the opportunity to practice traditional Chinese calligraphy. This was my absolute favorite part of class because it shows that there is not only a difference in the way words are written (characters versus letters), but also a difference in the method of how the language is written.

Asian StudiesStudents who choose to major in Asian studies at Mount Union have ample opportunities to get “real-world” experience outside of the classroom. By getting involved in extracurricular opportunities, you can strengthen your skills and knowledge of Asian society and culture, both of which are critical to career success.
