Assistant Professor in Integrated Media
The Department of Communication at the University of Mount Union seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Integrated Media to begin Fall of 2018. The successful candidate will need to teach a broad range of media courses including Media, Culture and Technology; International Media Systems; Media Criticism & Popular Culture and Advertising; Political Communication; Media Management, Law and Policy, among others. Candidates for this position should be familiar with emerging forms of digital media and how growth in that area impacts the field. Additionally, candidates should be interested in contributing to general education courses and mentoring undergraduate research projects. Advising departmental student organizations and individual majors within the department also is expected.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Communication or a related field. Demonstrated excellence in and a strong commitment to teaching at a small, liberal arts university is required. Experience with grant-funded research and/or industry-related experience desired.
