Athletic Training Position
Responsibilities: The Department of Human Performance and Sport Business, University of Mount Union, invites applications for a faculty member to serve as a faculty member, Certified Athletic Trainer, and preceptor within the CAATE Accredited Undergraduate Athletic Training Program to begin August 1, 2014. Teaching areas may include courses within the athletic training, exercise science, and/or health majors. Position will include advising athletic training majors.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or Related Field, BOC Certified and Ohio Licensed Athletic Trainer plus at least two years of professional experience, including student supervision, are required. Clinical Education Coordinator experience preferred. First Aid & Professional CPR Instructor/EMT are desired. The successful candidate must:
- have demonstrated ability to teach courses in athletic training and related curriculum (Exercise Science and/or Health majors)
- provide effective delivery of athletic training services to intercollegiate athletes
- supervise athletic training students in their clinical education and assist with program development.
Available: August 1, 2014
Compensation: Competitive, based upon qualifications. Fringe benefits include a 10% contribution by the University to TIAA/CREF after one year of service, contribution by the University toward hospitalization, major medical, disability, and group life insurance; tuition discount for spouse or children attending Mount Union. Compensation and rank are based on experience, qualifications, and academic background.
