Students in Dr. Morgan Bagley’s ATP 232 Clinical Practicum II work with students from the visual and performing arts for an interactive final exam.
The athletic training students are asked to evaluate a medical emergency from the moment they step onto the scene. They are to then evaluate the patient and determine the course of treatment until Emergency Medical Services arrive.
The patients are played by students from majors in the visual and performing arts, with each patient having a different injury. The injuries are created through stage makeup done by professor of theatre Deb Lotsof to make the situation more realistic for the athletic training students.
