I believe in involving the students in the process of learning, and allowing them to participate in the instruction process for their peers. My favorite part of the job is seeing the creative process of working on music throughout the semester, and seeing it improve.

Band Camp

Band Homecoming2017 Camp Schedule

August 10–19

  • Wednesday, August 9 - Student Leadership Report (Drum Majors, Section Leaders, Captains, KKPsi)
  • Thursday, August 10 - Flags, Batons and Percussion Check-in
  • Friday, August 11 - Full Band Check-in (with evening rehearsal)
  • Saturday, August 12 - Friday, August 18: Full Camp Days
  • Football Schedule

Incoming students will be required to pay the $10 for a band t-shirt (worn under uniforms). Students will also be required to purchase black marching shoes if they are not previously owned.

Proper band camp attire/equipment includes: t-shirts, shorts, tennis shoes, water bottles, hats, and sunscreen. Don't forget your medical forms!

Full Camp Schedule

Wednesday, August 9:

*Student Leaders Report (Drum Majors, Section Leaders, Kappa Members)

            -Move into residence halls in the morning, report to Cope 154 by 1 pm for band camp preparation work, leadership team meetings, etc.

            -7 pm dinner at Dr. French’s house 254 Vincent Street, Alliance, OH (3 min. walk from Cope)

Thursday, August 10:

*Percussion, Flags and Batons report.

            -Move into residence halls in the morning, report to Cope 154 at 1 pm, or as directed by Mr. Neitzke and Mrs. Faiello.

            -Rest of day schedule as directed by Mr. Neitzke and Mrs. Faiello.

Friday, August 11:

*Rest of band reports.

            -Move into residence halls in the morning, report to Cope 154 by 2 pm to sign in for camp, meet section leaders, get music and instruments, etc.

            -After dinner, first full meeting and music rehearsal from 6-8 pm on Brush Stage.

Saturday, August 12:

9:30 – 11:45 am Full Band First Marching Session, Castle Field

11:45-1:15 pm Lunch

1:15-3:00 pm Section Rehearsals

3:15-4:45 pm Full Music Rehearsal, Brush Stage

4:45-7:15 pm Dinner/Free Time

7:15-8:00 pm Move to Stadium

8:00-10:15 pm Marching Practice in the Stadium
