Beeghly Hall Gallery Features Linda Bourassa’s “Aftermath”
September 10, 2015
ALLIANCE, Ohio – Photographer Linda Bourassa’s photo gallery “Aftermath” will be on display at Mount Union’s Beeghly Hall Gallery through October 31.
Bourassa, professor of art at Hiram College, teaches photography, film, digital art, contemporary media and the history of photography.
Most of the work in her “Aftermath” exhibition was printed in the past four years and represents a move from working in the darkroom to “imaging” in a computer lab. In her artist statement, Bourassa said she has always been attracted to photographing places, people and events after all the “hubbub” is over. Qualities of light, a formal sense of gesture and composition are elements she looks for when shooting and editing.
The Gallery is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For weekend hours, or any other questions, contact Carol Opatken at (330) 823-4968.
Beeghly Hall is located off of State Street across from Sheetz.
