I wanted to attend a smaller university that was relatively close to home, and it wasn’t until I visited Mount Union when I realized it was the perfect fit for me.
According to the Bureau for Labor Statistics, employment in the field of biology is projected to increase 21 percent through the year 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations, and its biotechnological research and development that is driving job growth. The extraordinarily high degree of hands-on involvement provided by the Mount Union’s program in biology will prepare you for a variety of careers in this growing field.
By majoring in biology, you will explore career options including:
- Pharmaceutical sales
- Allied-health professions
The flexibility of the biology curriculum allows students to prepare for professional work, as well as graduate study in biological science. No matter what your path, the combination of classroom theory and practical experience will prepare you for whatever follows graduation, as it has students of the past, including many prominent health professionals and researchers.
