Bishop Bruce Ough to Present Baccalaureate Address at Mount Union College

Bishop Bruce R. Ough, resident bishop for the Ohio West Area of The United Methodist Church and a member of the Mount Union College Board of Trustees, will present the Baccalaureate Address to the Mount Union College graduating class of 2002.

Bishop Ough is the spiritual leader for nearly 265,000 United Methodists in more than 1,250 congregations in 58 Ohio counties.

Prior to his election and consecration as a bishop in July 2000, Bishop Ough served as the senior pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

A graduate of North Dakota State University, Bishop Ough holds a master of divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. In addition, he has done graduate work at Northwestern University and completed the Upper Room's two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation program, for which he also served on the Leadership Team.

He is married to Charlene Ough, and they are the parents of three sons, Lance, 31, Stuart, 27 and Matthew, 20.
