Bohdan Subchak to Present Faculty Recital

Bohdan Subchak, private music instructor of violin at Mount Union College, will present a faculty recital on Sunday, September 25 at 3 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Subchak will be playing the violin accompanied by Nicole Lee, lecturer of music, on piano. He will be performing selections by Franz Schubert, Johann Sebastian Bach, Mozart, Kreisler and Johannes Brahms.
A native of the Ukraine, Subchak studied at the Kiev School of Music and the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Music in Kiev. In 1999, he joined the string faculty at Mount Union. He is currently an active performer with the Canton Symphony Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra and Alliance Symphony Orchestra where he serves as concert master.
Nicole Lee was born in Vancouver, Canada. She attended the University of Southern California where she earned her bachelor of music and master of music degrees. She received both the A.R.C.T. Performer's and A.R.C.T. Teacher's diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto as well as Licentiate and Fellowship diplomas from the Trinity College of London.
Lee has received numerous awards including first prize in the Pasadena Fine Arts Club Competition, first runner-up in the International Stravinsky Awards Competition and a semi-finalist in the Royal Over-Seas league Competition in London.
She is still an active chamber musician and soloist and is currently teaching and accompanying at Malone College and Mount Union.
