Bohdan Subchak to Present Violin Recital

Bohdan Subchak, lecturer of music and instructor of violin at Mount Union College, will present a faculty recital on Sunday, September 21 at 3 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Subchak will be assisted by Kathy Reichenberger, faculty accompanist, coordinator of accompanying and instructor of piano. Theywill be performing selections from Autumn from “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi, Concert #22 in A minor by Giovanni Viotti and Concert #2 in D minor, Op.22 by Henryk Wieniawski..
A native of the Ukraine, Subchak studied at the Kiev School of Music and the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Music in Kiev. He joined the string faculty at Mount Union in 1999. An active performer, he is a member of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra and the Alliance Symphony Orchestra where he also serves as Concert Master.
Reichenberger has served at Mount Union College for more than ten years. She earned a bachelor of music education degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri and a master of music degree in piano performance from the University of Akron. She also accompanies the Touring Ensemble of the Summit Choral Society in Akron, Ohio.
