Bookstore Donates Gloves for Every Winter Item Purchase
November 11, 2015
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union University Store has big plans for this holiday season. Starting Thursday, November 12 and continuing until the start of winter break (December 18), every person who buys a winter item from the University Store will have a pair of gloves donated to people in need in the Alliance area in their name.
The winter items included are hats, scarves and gloves. When a bookstore customer buys a winter item, they will be given a gift tag to fill out with a message of their choice. The gift tag will be attached to pair of gloves that will hang on the tree placed in the front window of the University Store.
The University Store is pairing with Mount Union’s Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement.
“This is a great way for people to help area residents in need this holiday season,” said Abby Honaker, assistant director of the Regula Center. “While customers are doing their holiday shopping, they can know that their purchase will go toward helping community members stay warm this winter.”
