Callie Livengood Named Assistant Director of Public Affairs

Callie Livengood has recently been named assistant director of public affairs atCallie Livengood Mount Union College.

In this role Livengood is responsible for the media relations operations of the institution. Her responsibilities include writing and delivering press releases, coordinating news coverage and photography and providing media professionals with news tips and inquiry responses. She also coordinates the College’s social networking opportunities and video efforts.

“During Callie’s time as a student, I watched her develop into a responsible and driven adult who armed herself with knowledge and practical experience, through both classroom learning and internship opportunities,” said Melissa Gardner, executive director of public affairs and marketing. “I was so pleased to be able to bring her on board upon graduation. She truly is an asset to our operation and the College as a whole.”

The Alliance native earned a bachelor of arts degree in media studies from Mount Union in 2009. She is currently pursuing a master of arts degree in journalism and mass communication from Kent State University.
