Engineering Scholarship Established by Timken

Griffith, The Timken Company Charitable and Education Fund along with the Timken Foundation, have established a scholarship for one engineering student at the University of Mount Union each year.

Mount Union Holds Annual Summer Science Camp

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union held its eighth annual Summer Science Camp for area youngsters recently. This camp was initiated by Dr. Scott Mason and Dr. Sheryl Mason in June 2007 and has since increased in popularity. Scott is a professor of chemistry and the director of the pre-health program, and Sheryl is an assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Mount Union.

Kevin P. Kern Directs Two Shakespeare Productions

ALLIANCE, Ohio – As if directing two different plays simultaneously wasn’t difficult enough, University of Mount Union professor Kevin P. Kern faces another obstacle this summer. He is directing two different plays, by two different companies, in two entirely different locations. Within a month of each other, Kern will direct two Shakespeare productions; one in Ohio, one in California.
