  10. Athletic Training Students Hold Olympics
    May 6, 2013

    On March 26, the Athletic Training Education program at the University of Mount Union held its annual “Athletic Training Olympics” to help bring an end to National Athletic Training Month. This year’s theme was “Every Body Needs an Athletic Trainer” to help promote that athletic trainers, as health care professionals, treat more than just athletes. Athletic trainers can now be found in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, the military and at numerous corporations.

The awards dinner included a diversity update and a presentation from Rich Jackson. In addition, they recognized outstanding members of their respective organizations who excel in supporting the diversity efforts at the University of Mount Union as well as the presentation of the Diversity and Inclusion Award.

    Four former Mount Union football players in wide receivers Jasper Collins (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) with the Miami Dolphins, Chris Denton (Plantation, Fla./South Plantation) with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,  linebacker Charles Dieuseul (Winter Haven, Fla./Lake Region) with the NY Giants and Nick Driskill (Wabash, Ind./Southwood) with the Indianapolis Colts agreed to NFL free agent deals.
