Morgan Bagley, athletic trainer and director of athletic training education at Mount Union, is not only my advisor and athletic trainer for basketball, but also has become one of the most important people in my life. She is always there for me no matter what and I would be lost without her.

- Cook Named Director of Choral Activities at Mount

Grant William Cook III has been named director of choral activities at the University of Mount Union. Cook comes to Mount Union from Heidelberg University, where he most recently served as director of the Heidelberg concert choir and chamber singers, oversaw the choral program and served as a tenured associate professor of choral music and music history.

- March Makeover Transforms Empowerment Center

This past Saturday, more than 250 volunteers from the University of Mount Union offered their time and talents to help transform the Empowerment Center, located at 715 S. Arch Ave. in Alliance. Volunteers participated in “March Makeover 2011: Alliance Edition” by working on renovation projects such as painting, cleaning, building cabinets and landscaping.

For nearly 12 years, Mount Union has worked with ASAPROSAR, a rural health organization to work on a variety of humanitarianism projects.

Junior music education majors at the University of Mount Union – Sarah Behal of Stow, Ohio and Kayleigh Eddy of Youngstown, Ohio – placed second and third respectively in the R. Keith Newton Music Education Essay Competition. The competition was administered by The Ohio Federation of Music Clubs.
