My favorite teacher is a person who hasn’t taught me in a traditional classroom. Morgan Bagley, athletic trainer and director of athletic training education at Mount Union, is not only my advisor and athletic trainer for basketball, but also has become one of the most important people in my life. She is always there for me no matter what and I would be lost without her.

A faculty recital will be held Sunday, February 13 at 3 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall on the University of Mount Union’s campus. The recital will feature Dr. James Perone, the Margaret Morgan Ramsey Professor in Music, on clarinet and Kathy Reichenberger, lecturer of music, on piano.

- Education Fashion Show to be Held Monday

An education fashion show will be held Monday, January 24 at 7 p.m. in the Mount Union Theatre. Presented by Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an education honorary at Mount Union, the fashion show will show incoming education majors the appropriate attire to wear to field experiences at local schools. Mount Union education students spend a great deal of time in the classroom and it is important that they dress appropriately and make a good impression.

- Athletic Training Facility Named in Gorman's Honor

Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of the University of Mount Union, announced yesterday that the athletic training facility within the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex (The MAAC) has been named in honor of the late Daniel M. Gorman, a recommendation that was approved late last week by a subcommittee of the University’s Board of Trustees.

- Faculty Member Fatally Injured in Bus Accident
- January 12, 2011
At approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday night, a University of Mount Union bus carrying the wrestling team, coaches, statisticians, an athletic trainer and athletic training students returning to campus following a match at Ohio Northern University was involved in an accident near Bucyrus, OH on U.S. Rt. 30. Dan Gorman, director of athletic training and associate professor of human performance and sport business, was fatally injured in the crash.
