  1. Stock Ticker Display Named in Honor of Jack Peters

    A 25-foot stock ticker display within the Engineering and Business Building at the University of Mount Union was named recently in honor of John F. “Jack” Peters, a member of the Board of Trustees and vice president of Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. (formerly Butler Wick & Co.).

    Tamara Daily Recognized for Innovative Teaching
    December 13, 2010

    Dr. Tamara Daily, chair of the Department of Psychology and psychology professor at the University of Mount Union, recently received the Award for Innovation from the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation. She was recognized for innovative teaching that tries to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness.

    The episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, featuring University of Mount Union student volunteers assisting in the construction of a home for a Cleveland area family, will be aired on ABC on Sunday, December 5 at 8 p.m. Beginning at 7 p.m., NewsChannel5 will air a one-hour special that will give viewers a behind the scenes look of the week-long project.

  14. Mount Union students spent their Saturday evening trick-or-treating for canned goods.
    Students Collect More Than 3,500 Canned Goods
    November 1, 2010

    Mount Union students from a number of on-campus organizations went trick-or-treating for canned goods instead of candy this Halloween. As a result, 3,763 non-perishable food items were collected and will benefit the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter and the Alliance Community Pantry.
