ALLIANCE, Ohio — Students at the University of Mount Union have a unique opportunity to learn first-hand how small and large businesses are created and sustained.

Several University of Mount Union students attended the National Sports Forum (NSF), held in February in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This event is the largest gathering of the Sport Business industry’s top executives in the nation. The University of Mount Union sport business program, in an exclusive agreement with the NSF, provides the only interns that are invited to work at the conference. Mount Union students are the only undergraduate students that have the opportunity to attend this conference and trade show with sessions and panels led by some of the brightest leaders in the industry.

Katy Alkire, a junior athletic training major at the University of Mount Union, presented her poster on her case study, "Dazed and Confused: The Lasting Effects of Post-Concussion Syndrome" at the Ohio Athletic Trainer's Association Annual Meeting held in May. She was sponsored by Morgan Cooper Bagley, Director of Mount Union's CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
