The convocation honored graduating seniors and underclass students who have excelled academically, displayed excellent leadership skills and shown dedication to the University and community through outstanding community service initiatives.

    The University of Mount Union has named Alliance resident Dr. Beth Canfield-Simbro, associate professor of human performance and sport business and co-director of the Honors Program, as the 2011 Great Teacher. The award was presented Tuesday, April 19 at Mount Union's annual Senior Recognition and Honors Convocation.

  6. Athletic Training Facility Dedicated
    April 1, 2011

    The athletic training facility within the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex (The MAAC) at the University of Mount Union was dedicated Friday, April 1 in honor of the late Daniel M. Gorman. Gorman, director of the athletic training education program and associate professor of human performance and sport business, passed away tragically on January 12.
