The Athletic Training Program at the University of Mount Union recently re­ceived the maximum 10-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

The episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, featuring University of Mount Union student volunteers assisting in the construction of a home for a Cleveland area family, will be aired on ABC on Sunday, December 5 at 8 p.m. Beginning at 7 p.m., NewsChannel5 will air a one-hour special that will give viewers a behind the scenes look of the week-long project.

The University of Mount Union Concert Choir, directed by Dr. Clarence M. Shearer, interim director of choral activities and visiting professor of music, will present a concert on Friday, December 10 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The Alliance Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Eric Benjamin, will present a concert of holiday favorites on Sunday, December 5 at 3 p.m. in the Alliance High School Auditorium.

The University of Mount Union Trumpet and Percussion Ensembles will present a concert on Tuesday, December 7 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The University of Mount Union’s Department of Music will present a Preparatory Division Musicale on Friday, December 3 at 7 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

University of Mount Union students Rachel Wood and Shelly Wyzynski will perform a joint recital on Sunday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall. They are both sopranos.

The fourth annual Fair Trade Holiday Market will be held Thursday, December 2 from 4 – 7 p.m. in Campus Grounds of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.

Dr. Jonathan Scott, professor of biology and associate academic dean for special projects at the University of Mount Union will present “What Do We Really Know About Biology” on Tuesday, November 23 at the LINC luncheon held at Mount Union.
