The University of Mount Union’s Department of Music will present Piano Keys, a piano recital featuring Dr. Maira Liliestedt’s students, on Saturday, October 30 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall on Mount Union’s campus.

National First Ladies’ Library will be the topic of discussion at the Continued Learning Program session on Tuesday, October 26 at 10 a.m. in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.

Dr. Ann Ritchey, associate professor of mathematics at Mount Union will present “Students Are More Than Just Statistics” on Tuesday, October 26 at the LINC luncheon at Mount Union.

On Saturday, October 30, University of Mount Union student organizations will be trick or treating for canned goods in the Alliance area. Collected canned goods will benefit the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter and the Alliance Community Pantry.

Dr. William Cunion, associate professor of political science and associate dean for curriculum and student academic issues at the University of Mount Union, is one of 10 finalists inthe Washington Post’s America’s Next Great Pundit Contest.

Pete Earley, author of the award winning book Crazy: A Father’s Search Through America’s Mental Health Madness, spoke at Mount Union recently about his son’s struggle and the current state treatment for the mentally ill.

Dr. Scott Gravlee, associate professor of philosophy and religious studies and chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Mount Union, will present the faculty lecture on Thursday, October 21 at 7 p.m. in room 100 in Tolerton and Hood.

Matthew Works, an artist, writer and activist, will be speaking at Union Avenue United Methodist Church on Monday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Wind turbines will be the topic of discussion at the Continued Learning Program session on Tuesday, October 19 at 10 a.m. in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.

Using the arts to revitalize communities will be the topic of discussion at the Continued Learning Program session on Tuesday, October 12 at 10 a.m. in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.

The work of artist Brent Fraser entitled “Scenes from the West” is currently on display in Crandall Art Gallery on the University of Mount Union’s campus through Thursday, October 28.
