    Dr. Richard L. Drake to Join Board of Trustees
    June 27, 2011

    Dr. Richard L. Drake, director of anatomy and professor of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, will join the Board of Trustees at the University of Mount Union this fall, announced Board Chair Randall C. Hunt.  Drake was elected at the Board’s annual spring meeting on Friday, May 6.

  4. Recycling Sale Benefits Community Food Pantry
    June 14, 2011

    The Alliance Community Food Pantry reaped the benefits from the University of Mount Union’s third annual move-out day benefit sale and recycling project. The sale, “Live Green Live UNITED,” raised more than $650 and promoted sustainability on campus and in the community.

  5. Rose to Participate in Youth Exchange Program
    June 13, 2011

    Corey Rose, a senior German and computer science major at the University of Mount Union, has been selected to participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX), a year-long, federally-funded fellowship for study and work in Germany. Among a pool of more than 500 applicants nationwide, he was selected as one of 75 participants for this unique opportunity to gain cultural, theoretical, and practical work experience in Germany.

    For the fifth consecutive year, the University of Mount Union has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts and service to America’s communities. The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) honored Mount Union as a leader among institutions of higher education for its support of volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement.
