Catherine Bender Smith of Center for Disease Control to Speak About Influenza

Microbiologist Catherine (Bender '84) Smith will be presenting during convocation on Thursday, October 16 at 10:35 a.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Bender Smith, a microbiologist with the National Center for Infectious Diseases, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, will be speaking on the topic of: "Influenza: A Once and Future Threat."
Bender Smith is from Stone Mountain, Georgia and has been with National Center for Infectious Diseases for over ten years. She earned a bachelor's degree from Mount Union College and a master's degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
