Cheryl Brown Henderson to speak at Mount Union College as part of Women?s History Month Celebration.

The Mount Union College Center for Public Service and the National Women's History Month Committee will present Cheryl Brown Henderson on Thursday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mount Union Theatre.

Henderson is the daughter of Rev. Oliver L. Brown, who joined 12 other families who filed suit on behalf of their children against the Topeka School Board in 1951. This case was the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka Kansas which was decided on May 17, 1954.
Henderson has background in education, business, civic leadership, political advocacy, public implementation and federal legislative development. She has served on various local, state and national boards and is founder, president and chief executive officer of the Brown Foundation for Educational Equity, Excellence and Research.
