Christmas Faculty Recital to be Held at Mount Union College on December 6

Faculty members Dr. Patricia Boehm and Kathy Reichenberger of the Mount Union College Department of Music will perform a Christmas recital on December 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The recital will feature eighteen Christmas songs composed between the years 1600 and 1960, including pieces such as, Mary Did you Know?; Sleep, Little Baby; Ave Maria; and Natus est Jesus.  In addition to Boehm and Reichenberger, others performing include Maria Fesz, Dean Newton, Susan Haddox and Rachel Shaffer.

Boehm, associate professor music, earned a bachelor of music degree in voice and opera from Jacksonville University. She also earned a master of music degree in opera production from Florida State University and a doctoral degree in music education from Kent State University.

Reichenberger, faculty accompanist, coordinator of accompanying and instructor of piano earned a bachelor of music education degree from Southwest Baptist University and a master of music degree in piano performance from the University of Akron.

The recital is free and open to the public. Presser Recital Hall is located within Cope Music Hall, which stands on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street across from the Campus Lakes. For more information, contact the Department of Music at (330) 823-2180.
