Chung-Ha Kim Piano Concert to be Held March 17

Pianist Dr. Chung-Ha Kim will perform a concert on Tuesday, March 17 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College. In addition, she will hold a master class at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, also in Presser Hall.
The program will include Bruce Mahin’s Freedom Lost, Samuel Barber’s Sonata, Op. 26, Four Roman Sketches, Op. 7 by Charles Griffes and Gorgoyles, Op. 29 by Lowell Liebermann.
Born and raised in Germany, she earned a bachelor of music degree in piano performance at the Manhattan School of Music in New York and master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, majoring in piano performance with a cognate in piano pedagogy.
Kim teaches applied piano, piano pedagogy, class piano and piano ensemble at Western Illinois University.
