CLP Session to Feature Dr. Ralph Pfingsten

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Dr. Ralph Pfingsten, historian and author of The History of the Ravenna Arsenal, will be the speaker at the CLP session at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22 in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center at the University of Mount Union.

Pfingsten will discuss the Ravenna Arsenal and the mysteries behind it. The History of the Ravenna Arsenal includes a comprehensive history of the Ravenna Arsenal from inception to its present uses. The book features more than 900 photographs and drawings and more than 340 pages of history.

Pfingsten previously worked as a secondary school teacher in Cleveland and has authored several works, including Salamanders of Ohio, The History of John Marshall High School and From Rockport to West Park. He has worked as a field biologist and herpetologist for 47 years and currently works as the senior editor of Amphibians of Ohio.

An additional CLP session will feature Randy Flint of the Alliance Health Department on October 29.

The public is welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.60) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the sessions.
