CLP Session to Feature Jim Kavelaris

February 11, 2014

ALLIANCE, Ohio—Jim Kavelaris, retired industrial electrician, will be speaking on Walborn eagles at the CLP session at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18 in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center at the University of Mount Union.

Kavelaris took up outdoor photography in 1995 and picked up an interest in bald eagles when he saw one perched in a tree at Walborn Reservoir. He was part of the ODNR Eagle Watcher program until it ended two years ago. He still observes the eagles and sends in reports.

Through volunteer work with Stark Parks and extensive reading on eagles, Kavelaris has developed vast knowledge on eagles and will be sharing his knowledge in his lecture.

The public is welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.60) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the session.

The last CLP session of the month will feature James Simbro of the Cat Fanciers Association on February 25.
