CLP Sessions Scheduled for October

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Four Continued Learning Program sessions are scheduled to take place at the University of Mount Union in October.
Opening the sessions is Max Barton, marketing director at the Canton Museum of Art, who will speak on the museum’s upcoming exhibit, "Illuminating the Word: The Saint John's Bible,” on October 8.
Barton joined the Canton Museum of Art in December 2012. His focus is spearheading both short- and long-term strategic marketing and communications programs centered on the Museum’s branding, social media and public relations for Permanent and Touring Exhibitions, Collections, Membership Development and Education Outreach. He is also responsible for representing the Museum in Arts Advocacy initiatives and positioning the museum’s mission and vision to internal and community audiences.
Previously, Barton worked for 18 years as Director of Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and other roles for Myers Industries, Inc. (NYSE: MYE) in Akron, OH.
Other speakers in October include Paul Dykshoorn who will speak on the Men’s Challenge on October 15, Ralph Pfingsten who will speak on the Ravenna Arsenal on October 22 and Randy Flint of the Alliance Health Department on October 29.
Sessions will take place at 10 a.m. each week in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center. The public is welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.60) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the sessions.
